Overview
The Graphics.com Top 100 list provides a great way to generate fresh new targeted traffic for your site. Since the Top 100 is aggressively promoted to the major search engines, it constantly receives fresh visitors. Add in the visitors being referrred to it by the participating sites, and there's no surprise why it's quickly becoming one of the best free ways to generate steady traffic to your graphics site.
What Sites Can Participate?
The list is moderated and all submissions are reviewed for acceptibility before being added. Your site must be devoted to graphics and be able to be assigned to the current categories. As well, your site must be frequently updated (that is, generating new content). If it's in stasis lock, we reserve the right to refuse it or drop it later on. Our visitors expect fresh, live sites and we're dedicated to providing that. Currently, we're not accepting sites that are devoted primarily to clipart or fonts. If you have such a site, we encourage you to add it to the Graphics.com Directory.
How Does It Work?
Joining is simple. Simply click on Add Your Site and fill out the brief form, including the location of your site's 88 by 31-pixel button. It's wise to choose the words for your site description carefully, since visitors can search through the descriptions. You then add one or more Graphics.com banners and/or text links to your site (no popups, exit consoles, etc.). You'll need at least one visit to the list coming from your site for you to show up in the listings (we don't mind if you click it once). Once you're displayed in the list, your position will depend on how many visitors you send to the list from your site. The more visitors, the higher you will be in your category listing, and the overall listing (and, typically, the more traffic you will get from the list).
Sites are ranked by incoming hits since the last re-rank, which we perform on a regular basis. We also perform regular resets of all incoming hits, to ensure newcomers to the list have a chance to rank well. You can return at any time to see how your site is doing and change the site information you provided, with your username/password combination.

What Not To Do
Please don't submit a site that doesn't clearly fit within the current Top 100 categories. If your site doesn't fit, and you'd like to suggest a new category, please send mail to: . We reserve the right to edit site descriptions or refuse submissions, as we see fit. Please don't try to artificially inflate the number of visits you send to the list. We use the best ranking software available, which employs a vast array of cheat-detecting mechanisms. If we think you're being sneaky, we'll simply drop you from the list, which would be no fun for either of us.
