The 2016 Clio Awards Winners
Founded in 1959, the Clio Awards has grown into the most recognized international awards competition for advertising, design, digital and communications. Creative work first appearing in public between January 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016 in such categories as Branded Entertainment, Design, Print and Digital was eligible for the 2016 Clio Awards, with this year seeing the addition of Innovation and Product Design categories.
The Clio judging process is known for its democratic approach to recognizing creative excellence. Fewer than 20% of submissions, within a media type, survive the first two rounds, from which juries re-evaluate the work to determine Gold, Silver and Bronze statues along with the Shortlist. Less than 5% of all entries receive a statue and less than 1% receive the Gold Clio. In addition, each jury also has the option of awarding a Grand Clio to one exceptional piece of work in each media type from the chosen Gold statue winners.
Entries were judged by a panel of top industry executives, with awards presented during the 57th annual Clio Awards on September 28 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
