HyperTyle Adobe Photoshop Plugin Updated for Effect Generation
If you're a graphics user, there's nothing quite as satisfying as a really excellent seamless texture. And to meet this demand there are many solutions, such as Artlandia's Illustrator and Photoshop plugins, the free Filter Forge Photoshop plugin, and the Pix Plant, Genetica and Substance Designer applications, among others.
Included with HyperTyle are more than 1,200 seamless photo, synthetic and painting textures, including 100 high resolution textures ones, although users can also employ textures in BMP, JPG, PNG, PSD and other formats. The plugin interface consists of a preview on the left side and a tab sheet control with all filter parameters on the right side. 15 dialog skins are provided, with a Tutorial Mode available for beginners. A preset feature makes it possible to save effect settings and later reuse them, while more than 110 presets are included. As well as the plugin's main seamless textures effects, it also offers zoom, rotation, metal, chrome, pop-art, warp, mirror, blur, noise, blending and other secondary effects which can also be applied to the seamless texture. In fact, up to 20 different effects can be applied at the same time without leaving the plugin dialog.
The Plugin Site's HyperTyle filter plugin goes back ten years, so it's good to see that it's still being supported. New in version 2 is the inclusion of a 64-bit plugin, which is said to run up to 30% faster. Also new is a resizable window for the plugin and a Skin feature that imitates the user interfaces of Lightroom, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and PaintShop Pro. It's also possible to skin just the sliders. HyperTyle can also now be used as a smart filter.
HyperTyle 2 works with a wide variety of Photoshop-compatible Windows applications. It can be purchased from The Plugin Site for $49.95. A trial version is also available.
