 Philter Phrenzy 9

Philter Phrenzy 9

The ninth round of the Phrenzy was based on images from Steve Caplin's TheFullMontage.com collection. Graphics.com members are familiar with Steve, author of, among other titles, How to Cheat in Photoshop CS4: The art of creating realistic photomontages. We've published many of his tutorials over the years and Philter Phrenzy 7 was based on skeleton images from the CD accompanying How to Cheat. For Philter Phrenzy 9, winners could employ up to $20 worth of complimentary images from Steve's TheFullMontage.com site, which provides a specialized array of imagery.

About TheFullMontage.com
TheFullMontage.com is a one-stop shop for Photoshop artists, specializing in the sort of images you need but can’t find elsewhere. It’s easy for the photomontage artist with internet access to source images of people and scenes taken head on. But that’s not how we need them for our montages. What you’ll find here is the perspective views, rear and side angles that photomontages so often call for. Photographers love shooting interesting images: what we as photomontage artists need is empty, featureless scenes to place behind our foreground elements. And that’s what you’ll find in the backgrounds section.

We also offer exclusive content that you won’t see anywhere else—such as our revolutionary readymade objects, which automatically wrap your artwork around 3D surfaces, so you can paste labels onto bottles, or pages into magazines (shown below). Our front & back objects feature images of containers and hands that are layered, so you can easily put things inside them.
