Homage To Kubrick - DavidMac (DavidMac)
| Description: | Posting in passing from an internet shop in south west India during a quick 'toilet break' on a long drive. So no time or chance to even look at the other images let alone comment. Away all this month until 28th. So I'll take a look then. This is another quickie done on my laptop in my hotel room during a rest day between shoots. All done in photoshop with just three images and a foetus image. The rest is 'painted'. There are stars of just one pixel diameter which are invisible when viewed at less than 100% resolution. Bit rushed - but quite fun if you like 'spacey' stuff ........ |

Lovely image, David. I'm a big fan of Kubrick even though he was a bit 'out there' for many. Got the look at those one pixel stars and they really make the backdrop somewhat realistic looking. You'd never know this was a 'rush job'.

Great job on the foeti and the reflections on the orb. Once again it seems like we were similarly inspired by the base images. The foetus with the nervous system showing reminds me of the "Body Worlds" exhibition. The only problem is the planet in the upper right seems a bit cut-out. With all that texture it seems like the edge should be rocky too. Overall very cool though!

David, I think if you just put a red dot in the middle of a canvas you somehow would make it be incredible! I am a great fan! Good job on your "quickie!" I really like the reflections on the orb too!
