Win/Mac: Panel Discussion: Finding the Creative Spark
Posted on Monday, March 08
The evening session is geared to those involved in workplace management, design, creative services, business development, innovation/R&D and marketing.

Panel: Finding the Creative Spark (New York)

Companies are increasingly turning to individuals and firms in the design profession for help in ensuring that their employees can effectively harness their drive to innovate and enable worthwhile change within the organization. Perhaps one of the most visible proponents of this is Marty Neumeier, whose firm Neutron, which recently merged with Liquid Agency, is well known for its emphasis on "design thinking." Graphics.com ran an excerpt from Marty's most recent book, The Designful Company: How to build a culture of nonstop innovation last July.

According to Mediabistro, the organizers of the event: "This panel places the emphasis on driving creativity in the workplace, with a focus on interactive and advertising design. Special guests from design, advertising, and interactive agencies will discuss how to create an environment for innovation, processes for idea development, and how individuals can find—or reignite—their creative spark." The panel will be moderated by independent copywriter and creative director Jennifer Eggers, with the panelists including Scott Belsky, Founder of Behance LLC; Dan LaCivita, SVP, Firstborn; and Brian Marr, Managing Director, Wexley School for Girls.

The event will be held at Comix, in New York City, beginning at 6:00 pm on March 23, 2010. More information and registration is available on the Mediabistro.com site.
