The one-day event this time has as its theme Visionaries & Provocateurs: Women in Media + Tech.
Mediabistro.com, a division of WebMediaBrands, is the largest online destination for media professionals, who rely on its offerings of jobs, classes, community and news. Mediabistro also hosts a large number of events every year, with Mediabistro Circus geared to professionals from interactive media, video, broadcasting, music, publishing, public relations, advertising, marketing and design.
The third Mediabistro Circus has an interesting focus on women as visionary leaders who have challenged traditional thinking at a time of great economic upheaval. As the show organizers put it: "Some have rewritten conventional rules as they lead organizations in media and technology. Others have surmounted huge challenges as they built startups into viable businesses. All have uncovered new ideas about growth, change and innovation."
A partial list of current participants includes Lisa Hsia, Senior Vice President of Bravo Digital Media; Lynne D Johnson, SVP Social Media for the Advertising Research Foundation; Alice McKown, Executive director marketing at Conde Nast Digital; and Carol Smith, Senior Vice President, Chief Brand Officer of ELLE Group. Sessions include such topics as Embracing Risk, Lessons From a Publisher and Bring Your Stories to Life.
The Mediabistro Circus will be held May 20, 2010, in New York City. More information and registration is available on the MediabistroCircus.com site. |
