The new web-based service provides the ability to collaborate and review images and videos.
While reliance on hard-copy proofing has increasingly given way to emailing PDF proofs or using an FTP site to handle the approval process, those with demanding production requirements more typically turn to an end-to-end solution, such as provided by the PROOF-it-ONLINE site. But collaboration takes many forms and Cozimo has produced a new twist with its web-based application geared to digital media and design professionals who regularly review and collaborate on visual content, such as images, video or PDF files, and require feedback from many people located in different locations.
During live sessions, users can view and write comments or draw on digital images or video frames. Marked frames or pages are shown on a timeline at the bottom of the work screen, allowing users to jump to a specific frame or page. All annotations, messages and activity are recorded throughout the course of a design or production project. A Presenter Mode is also available, which lets users lead a discussion or presentation and ensures that all participants are on the same page, frame or image at the same time.
Cozimo supports JPG, TIFF, TGA and GIF files, as well as single and multi-page PDF files in which vector information is maintained. It also supports video clips in such formats as QuickTime, AVI, Windows media and Flash.
Subscription plans range from $29 to $149 per month, with a Personal plan available at no cost. More information is available on the Cozimo site. |
