Now into its second decade, the cross-platform application for creating 3D environments and animations for print, multimedia, video and the Web is the beneficiary of advanced rendering effects, animation import capabilities and a simplified workflow.
DAZ 3D positions Bryce as a way of adding realistic 3D environments to an existing workflow without the usual hassle of learning complex tools. Sure, there's new stuff to master but it won't present the challenge presented by high-end 3D creation applications. Plus, DAZ makes available a huge amount of content to jump-start your creations, for example via its DAZ|Studio Character plugin, which provides access to existing animals, people, fantasy characters and structures.
The principal new features in Bryce 6 include Advanced Terrain Editing via customizable image-based brushes, and higher-quality renders thanks to Image Based Lighting (IBL) with support for High Dynamic Range Images (HDRI). It also includes Character Animation Import capabilities that allow animations using figures, accessories and other content to be imported into Bryce 6 environments via DAZ|Studio. Users can export full geometric meshes of any Boolean object into any of the industry’s most popular 3D applications as well as re-import these meshes and combine them with other Booleans or imported meshes to create even more complex objects.
Bryce 6 electronic download versions are priced at $6.00 with a qualifying Platinum Club Membership (available for $29.95) until November 20, 2006. Owners of Bryce 5.5 are also eligible to receive a free DAZ content pack (valued at $29.95) with purchase. The suggested retail price of Bryce 6.0 will be $99.95 and upgrades from Bryce 5/5.5 will be $39.95. Full product information is available on the DAZ 3D site. |
