Designed for use in a service bureau environment, as well as for those moving from XPress to an InDesign-based workflow, the Q2ID plugin runs in Macintosh InDesign CS and CS2, converting both PC and Mac QuarkXPress 3.3, 4.1, 5.0, 6.0 and 6.5 files.
The single-click conversion process includes exact page positioning, color models, fonts and styles, images, as well as precise text attributes. Items such as tables, layers, blends, runarounds, linked text boxes, anchored boxes, Pantone colors and other color models are said to be automatically re-created within InDesign.
