Hi All. Been real busy. So sorry for my long silence. Still very busy but I wouldn't mind a little challenge outside the work creative. Something to let me go wild like we use to do. Chris, any chance of them coming back?

Cheers!

(Note: I very much dislike Facebook,..)

Quite a few of us feel the same way. There have a number of attempts to revive them but response wasn't always very encouraging.

Pity ...........

I miss the challenges and reading all the comments from everyone. Not much going on here at all now.

Nice to hear from you Luc and David. Hope all is well with you both. icon_smile.gif

Like you Luc I am wholly disenchanted by Facebook.

I see your little helper is now in Chef mode. Since it is way off topic for challenges I have posted a separate post specially for him here in general discussion under Kitchen Wall E icon_wink.gif

HI Efte

I am fine. Very quiet at present. Spent a huge chunk of year before last and early part of last year back in Bollywood shooting a romantic comedy with Kareena Kapoor - a ver big star there.

Promised Ingrid I would stay at home for a while after so long away - so catching up on all kinds of stuff here.

Well, I miss the challenges as well. Their days of glory were back when Graphics.com was owned by Jupiterimages, and they were able to supply very generous prizes of stock photo subscriptions. And I was able to tap those image libraries for coming up with all the challenges. I tried various approaches in the years that followed but for whatever reason, participation trailed off. I didn't see the point in running challenges with just a few entries, so I reluctantly ended them. I revived tham at one point by popular request, but they didn't catch fire.

That said, I'd be more than happy to organize them once again. To do so, I'd just need a model with a chance of sustaining itself.

Let the suggestions commence!

I have to confess that, for me, the best challenge era was the Photos.com era. Three months subscription was a prize worth gunning for. I don't want to suggest that I did it only for the prize - I hope you all know me better than that.

But I can't deny that it was a great incentive ....... icon_wink.gif

I agree with David, it was a nice incentive but was not the core of it. Maybe for some other participants it was. In my case it was the number of people participating.
