Huh!?

Howdy everybody. This is the thirteenth Photo Safari where the goal is to get your digital camera, film camera, your scanners, your webcams, your pinhole cameras, your cellphone cameras and whatever else you can think of that will take a photo and you can post it here at Graphics.com all to get you out and photograph random things.

The rules are quite simple:
  • Once per two weeks or so an item, or items, will be posted in the Digital Photography Forum.
  • You will go out and get a picture of the items with only one objective... to make sure the picture shows what you're seeing.
  • That's it.
  • Seriously. That's it... it's all about showing how you see things to the Graphics.com community/world.

I love the simple rules... allows you so much room to do whatever you wish!

If you haven't read it yet, please take the time to read the Digital Photography FAQ on how to post up your images. However, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them and I'll gladly assist you. Who knows, perhaps there's areas I missed on the FAQ. It happens...

So without further delay, the thirteenth Photo Safari will consist of one theme... Parts of things. Big objects, small objects, up close to objects, or just pieces of objects... macro photography works well here. Take a piece of a piece of a lighter so close that we're sitting here scratching our head thinking, "Is that part of a gun? Maybe that's how a piece of metal shaved by a madman looks?" Or if your camera doesn't do macro photography too well, take a picture of a piece of a bigger object... make us think... "Does that look like a door handle if I turn my head this way?"

Feel free to take on the idea anyway you see fit... and that's just a start.

I really mean it. Anyway you see fit.

Photo Safari 13:
  • Parts of things

Feel free to experiment, play around, post anything; please keep it civil guys!

This is parts of things... not thingys!

Just be creative... and post as many times as you'd wish! And have fun... that's the goal.

Note: Per usual, I should post something. I hope to see you guys do the same.

here is one of my 77 i took this morning!!...mostly very fuzzy, my camera seems unable to cope at 2 inches away....so a section out if anothe rimage might be my better optin....once i have used what i've taken now!!!

Hee hee I know what they are, I actually like the bright shiny glitzy look of the first one, suits the subject matter perfectly.

Here's one from me then, pretty obvious, but nice I thought...

Gerbs, yes, that might well be a sole of a shoe, and such a clean one!

Siggi, your first I think might be some hairdo thingys - the blue one looks like a combined comb/hairbrush that you sometimes get on airplanes... and the second one....hhmmm...maybe an older model of a heating plate with a "flame extinguisher"?

Nice fossil out of the sea, I think, or is it not, Jos?

Jeepers, do I sound stupid today.... icon_redface.gif just had to take a little time out from work - I'm a very, very busy bee at them moment, got to run again!

I got the hair clips, Siggi, but I have NO idea what the other thing is. Looks like a lid to something. And I like your abalone pic, Jos icon_wink.gif Good angle on that sole, Gerbick.

Here are a couple of mine. Fun idea for a safari!

A good set Vikki, but other only the first shot has me guessing, the new and the old is a curious mix.

This lot are all of the same thing...

not too difficult, but nice takes even if I say so myself.

bloodjelly, you had me going with that first one....
and my pitch for the second one is a brush on a carpet???

vikki, you could have cut a piece out of the 1st image to make us guess what it is.....they are good images, but we can tell too easy what it is i think...

jos...very nice 'journey round my baby' which you might not be using too much...???

I have never claimed to be a photographer ... but I wanted to join in on the fun. Here are a few that I think are pretty obvious ... but ... let's see what you think.
