I did too, drove best daughter to Rotorua today to catch a plane to our capitol city Wellington, where she lives. The trip is about 200km return and the scenery is very pleasant indeed. We passed 5 lakes and deep bush where the road is like a tunnel through the native forest. Rotorua is the main thermal attraction in New Zealand with geyers and boiling mudpools and Maori culture...
anyway the lakes were nice and calm...




and there was this guy, a shag on a stick...




and then this turned up...
