Okay, it's official, Michael can now join the rest of us in the ranks of Geezerdom. Tomorrow, he will turn fifty and can proudly proclaim along with myself and the likes of 1olddawg that he's so old that his driver's license is on parchment or proudly state that he is now older than dirt.

On behalf of the whacky group here at graphics.com Happy Birthday Michael!

Join us tomorrow for prune punch, saltless crackers, and bran flakes. We will also be having a games section where you can join us and play the top ten games for us older folks;

10. Musical recliners
9. Spin the bottle of Mylanta
8. Hide and go pee
7. Simon says something incoherent
6. Doc, doc, goose
5. Red Rover, Red Rover, the nurse says bend over
4. Kick the bucket
3. Twenty questions, shouted in your good ear
2. Pin the toupee on the bald guy

and the number one party favorite…
1. Sag! You’re it!

I also managed this candid shot of Michael on the way back to his desk this morning.

VERY FUNNY MAD MUTANT!!
i compiled this one from lots of bits n pieces, amended, added, deleted and used it for my friends so i thought i amend it one more time for mtabor:

OUR MTABOR CAN`T BE 50 `COS…….

Most OLD folks are selfish, deaf and half blind
The ones that totter around, the „Crimplene kind.“
They go for a noddy, no matter where they are
And choose a seat where the toilet isn`t too far.
Then while they are sleeping, outside or in bed
The family is worried sick, in case they are dead.

For them no riotous parties with booze in their glasses
They put their manky teeth in it, the silly old „bottoms“.
If ever they had a party, the whole street would know
They`re all nearly deaf so they have to shout out their woe.
Their happy dreams are filled with bingo and prunes
They´re even convinced that George Fornby croones.

Their backs go out more now than they ever did
Forgotten the times when they were young and fit.
Their bodiely non-functions is the hottest topic by far
They keep on asking you to guess how old they are.
Now they can live without sex, but never their glasses
Forgotten are their youth, their follies and faux passes.

They moan and groan about the youth of today
It is they that taught them to be happy and gay.
The only music they recognize is the elevator kind
But only because they have a calcified mind.
Not even speed limits are a challenge to them
So they chugg along at 20, creating total mayhem.

Their good grass is at the back of their house
And gay to them is like watching a cat with a mouse
They do remember what happened in the year dot
But anything that goes down, they don´t give a jot.

The MTABOR we know is funny, kind, young and smart
HE COULD NEVER BE SUCH A FOARING OLD BART !!

Thank you all for a great laugh and a warm mushy feeling. I'm hoping my depends will take care of the latter.
Thanks for making my day!

Many happy returns Michael. I've booked you a chair in the Geriatrics ward at St. Crispins,...right beside MadMutant and I. lol.

ROFL MadMutant and Siggi.

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Michael, and welcome to the 50s - whatever they say above, its a great decade. Old enough to do what you like, and young enough to enjoy it.

So, prune punch all round - cheers! icon_nine.gif

Thomas- my most humbling apologies. With all the celebrating and guzzling of Teceteras beer keg, I forgot to compliment and congratulate you on the fantastic artwork you produced. Was this done with your trusty Wacom or hand painted and scanned in??
Either way its a piece of great artwork and certainly puts my artistic skills to shame. Great job my friend.

1olddawg,

Much thanks for the compliments on the work. Considering Michael has now officially joined the ranks of Geezers and Geezerettes I thought it fitting to do something a little special. The image was created in Corel Painter and is a combination of pencil and water color with the Wacom of course. And, to be honest, it was just plain fun to do.

Thanks again.

Wow - I'm a Geezerette - cool. icon_biggrin.gif

Mad Mutant - I'm with Brian - a fantastic piece of artwork. All the more impressive as its all done in Painter.

I recently got Painter 9 (birthday present icon_biggrin.gif). Haven't had to much time recently to experiment, but if I can ever produce anything even a tenth as good as your image I'd be pleased.

Tom,
I love the drawing and would really like a signed copy for my gallery...hint hint. Wait, let me turn on the megaphone and I'll try again. Really, it is great.
I am having the best day reading the posts.

1olddawg & Perseus are killing me! Thank you!

Michael,

Glad to hear that we made your day. And, yup, those two are a riot. 1olddawg is as his moniker suggests is loyal to a fault and is well deserving of rubs and scratches. Perseus, in spite of his short term memory problems which I suspect is due in large part to occasionally being over medicated, is also quite the character. All in all it's a really good bunch of regulars who cruise these forums with our without the aid of additional parts.

I'll pm you later with a link for a large version of the image that you can download.
