Xe847 is designed to reduce color shifts in a photo caused by ambient light or improper camera white balance. It also corrects contrast, brightness, gamma and graduation curves in what is described as a "non-linear manner," applies global and selective color correction, and makes such picture elements as sky, foliage and skin tones look more natural. To this end the plugin is said to have a unique capability to simulate the color constancy of our visual perception.
