SmartDPS is geared to designers, agencies and small publishers. Its goal is to speed up the design process by offering simple tools to create such things as popups, nested interactivity, scrollable areas and other interactive elements. Central to this is an online library of HTML5-based widgets that add specific interactive functionality to an app, such as Google maps, animations, image reveal, Twitter and slideshows with captions. Designers access the widgets via an InDesign panel, add them to a layout with a single click and then fine-tune settings and behavior, all without coding. SmartDPS is currently available as a free beta. For InDesign 5-6.
