FlightCheck Updates Support for Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Preflighting

With document complexity steadily increasing, preflighting provides a wide range of checks to ensure that files are ready to be output, thereby avoiding costly mistakes and lost time. FlightCheck is employed by both designers and those outputting film and final pages to ensure that documents created with Adobe and Quark applications, as well as PDFs, are problem free.

Geared to print shops, designers, prepress departments, customer service representatives and graphics professionals within the digital print and publishing industries, FlightCheck provides an analysis of the print job and highlights potential errors, including wrong document size, missing fonts, incorrect colors, transparency of spot colors and incorrect image resolution. It then collects all the required elements of the print job, such as images and fonts, to make sure the job prints reliably. Applications and graphic file formats currently supported include QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, PageMaker (!), FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, FreeHand, Acrobat PDF, Microsoft Word, CorelDRAW, EPS and TIFF.

Version 7.8 adds support for the CC 2017 versions of InDesign, Illustratorand Photoshop.

Markzware FlightCheck for Mac can be purchased for $399 on the Markzware site, with a one-year subscription priced at $199. A trial version is also available for download.
