ICON9 Illustration Conference Set for July in Austin

ICON was founded in 1998 to promote the use of illustration in all media, provide a platform for illustrators and image-makers to address issues, form a tight-knit community and develop new approaches to this historically significant profession. The inaugural ICON conference was held in 1999, with subsequent iterations providing a platform for discussion and presentations, and a networking and information exchange among top illustrators, designers, educators, representatives and art buyers.

The upcoming conference provides a variety of sessions and 24 workshops in addition to lectures, studio tours and hands-on activities, as well as a portfolio review and marketplace event, with over 60 selected artists showing their work and selling their illustrated products as part of the opening night activities.

ICON9 will be held from July 6 through 9, 2016, in Austin, Texas. Below are images from some of the illustrators that will be presenting during the conference. More information and registration is available on The Illustration Conference site.
